When I ran across J.Crew’s Fall Looks recently (I mean, come on–they are having a 30% off sale!!), I saw Look #12 and swooned. Okay, so maybe a poncho is really a fad, completely impractical for my lifestyle, and $198…but STILL…I swooned. So when I saw one at Target for $25, I knew it meant I needed to re-create the rest of the J.Crew look for myself (and you!). Oh, and talk about a classy way to bring in an animal print. Look out world. You may be seeing this girl wearing ponchos and leopard print accessories this fall. Now I just need to wait for it to cool down out there! It hit 100 degrees yesterday, so it may be awhile!

I did it! I bought two pair of skinny jeans (one jean legging, one actual skinny jean) at Express. So I may be behind the times but flats and skinny jeans are possible for me and wearing boots with jeans will be easier too. Just thought I’d share. Oh and I am loving the poncho swing jackets this year too!

I really never buy from big-name stores like J. Crew or Banana Republic or etc…because as you’ve just proven here, you can make a look just as good shopping cheap! I love buying from Goodwill, Target, Forever21, H&M, Penneys…just mixing and matching here and there to make the most.
